WPC Future Leaders is proud to present Ingenuity in Energy, an event about creatively changing the future of Oil and Gas.

Join us for this happy hour event that showcases ingenuity within the oil and gas industry by spotlighting individuals who are changing the status quo and reshaping the future of industry. This panel-style and networking event will host four speakers from different facets within Alberta’s energy industry to provide a unique perspective on the wide spectrum of innovation that is taking place.

The event is from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday April 3, 2019 and will feature four speakers who will provide ~5-minute introductions and bios followed by a 30-minute panel discussion; questions will be asked to the speakers who will then provide insights based on their expertise and experiences. The event is held at Junction Stage and Bar where drinks and appetizers will be provided.

Kirstie Boyle B.Sc. MBA

Director, Market Development | Interface Fluidics

Kirstie Boyle is a technology executive focused on leveraging new technologies to solve significant problems in the global energy industry. As the Director of Market Development for Interface Fluidics, a high-growth startup, she leads sales and marketing. Her background is in technology commercialization, having helped many companies successfully position their product offerings to meet the needs of their respective markets.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and an MBA in Global Energy Management and Sustainable Development from the University of Calgary.

Kirstie is a leader in the community and is passionate about growing the innovation ecosystem. She sits on several Boards, including the TELUS Spark, and mentors entrepreneurs.



James Graham

President and CEO | GuildOne

James Graham serves as President & CEO at GuildOne. James co-founded the company in 2001 and has since been innovating the Energy industry by delivering complex data management and business intelligence solutions to the market. He has led GuildOne’s progress into emerging technologies including blockchain, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to capitalize on these trends and position the company as a pioneering technology company, world-wide.



Kelcie Miller-Anderson

Co-Founder | MycoRemedy

Kelcie Miller-Anderson is an innovator and social entrepreneur based in Calgary. She currently splits her time speaking to future leaders and on her environmental startup, MycoRemedy.
One of her very first words was “Why” and since the day she asked her first question she hasn’t stopped. She is passionately curious and loves to use science and innovation to solve big problems. An acclaimed innovator and social entrepreneur, Kelcie started her research into developing novel remediation methods for the Alberta Oil Sands at just 15 and by 21 she had founded her first company, MycoRemedy.
She is a dedicated environmentalist and fierce industry advocate, with her sights set on changing the way the world remediates. Kelcie has been recognized several times as an up and coming leader in both oil and gas and sustainability, as well as receiving numerous awards for her work as an environmentalist, innovator, and scientist. She is one of Canada’s Top 20 Under 20, Next 36, and a Manning Youth Innovation award winner.
Passionate about creating change, she believes one of the best ways to create the largest impact is by empowering the next generation of change-makers. She aims to encourage the next generation to treat their age as an advantage and embrace their curious side.


Vicki Knott, P. Eng

CEO and Co-founder | Crux OCM

Vicki comes from an operational background at TransCanada Pipelines where she worked in commercial operation, process control engineering, and most importantly, spent significant time in the control room. She is a chemical engineer with a special interest in system wide operations and control. She sees midstream systems as a single operational process to be optimized in real time by providing the control room operators with the best tools possible. Utilizing her tenacious spirit she is excited to provide engineered software solutions to ensure that the industries front line people (control room operators) can operate oil and gas assets in the safest, most profitable way.
